‘The Makings of a Cheesy Chick’

This particular Cheesy Chick was created as part of the Women In Art Chainsaw Carving Competition, held in Washington State, USA, in September of 2003. As I was already home back in Oz I was unable to attend the event in person, so my image was depicted on the medal (a HUGE honor) and I carved from afar. She was created within the alloted 6 hour timeframe … being carved, sanded, and painted in 4 hours and 18 minutes (or so my time keeper and officialish photographer informs me).
Great fun day … the fish was added later after a burst of creative genius.
Her name is the 'Skinny Dipper'.
